Dato’ Vimmy Yap

Dato’ Vimmy is committed to contribute her experience and expertise in the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) space which is the utmost priority of almost all the businesses globally. Her focus in mainly on Sustainability Business Practices, Reporting and Financing.

She is also facilitating and researching potential FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) in the forms of acquisition of an existing business, the establishment of a joint venture with a local partner, or the creation of a wholly or partly owned entity in Malaysia.

Throwing back, Dato’ Vimmy was driven, dedicated and determined to contribute to the business ecosystem since she was 24. She started her accounting and business advisory practice which focusing on developing business, marketing and growth strategies for her clients.

Her dedication is endorsed by the media and business association with the Entrepreneurship Award and Malaysia 100 Excellent Enterprises Award. She then exited her first bootstrapped business successfully with a 66x capital growth.

Dato’ Vimmy took up another challenge by starting a new venture with the goal to nurture enthusiastic young entrepreneurs in the technology space. She was championing the fundraising of the project and building the business ecosystem.

With her mentorship and support, the young team has successfully developed a marketable digital business collaboration tool which helps businesses to enhance their operational efficiency. The tech start-up is targeting the market both locally and in the Asia Pacific Region.

She was an Expert & Mentor of the 2022 Hult Prize Global Accelerator Program. The 2022 Global Finals was held at the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting, with President Bill Clinton presenting the award of US $1,000,000 to the Hult Prize winner.
